SPIRITUAL CORE
Faith in Jesus Christ is not only a personal belief for those associated with MIA but also forms the core of MIA as an organization. How this faith affects our personal behaviors will also guide our organizational actions. Since we, as individual believers, exist to honor God, MIA also exists for that purpose. Our faith not only informs our ways of acting within MIA but also in the ways that we interact with our clients.
1 Peter 1:15-16
But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”
How this should affect our behavior:
Ethical behavior, honesty, and integrity are fundamental for our conduct in our work.
We relate biblically
We bathe our interactions in prayer.
Pray OFTEN
We ACT and pray again
We honor the Glory of GOD in each other
While using research and experience, we strive to be led by the Holy Spirit
Profit is not our “bottom line”
We will seek to temper all of our services with wisdom. The source of this wisdom will come from academic research and years of experience, principally from bathing our service to our clients with prayer. We will always seek to present biblical justifications for what we share with our clients.
Working together, we can add value by leveraging individual innovative ideas and contributions into a greater result benefiting our clients.
CANDOR
IRON SHARPENS IRON
Proverbs 27:1
Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.
We challenge each other spiritually and intellectually. We share knowledge, insights, and ideas with each other. We understand that by growing spiritually and intellectually, we will be able to serve our clients better. In this way, we can find new and innovative ways for our clients to grow. We will seek to challenge our clients in the same manner.
How this should affect our behavior:
Knowledge empowers, and learning leads to change and growth. We encourage each other to look for new and innovative ways to work and seek new ideas.
We draw our responses from both research and experience
We understand that together we have more to offer than as individuals. We will seek to work collaboratively as associates within MIA and also with our clients.
How this should affect our behavior
Ephesians 3:15-16
Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him, the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.
We will speak the truth in love with each other. We will challenge each other compassionately by offering alternative ideas and seeking to produce greater results. We will fight for our clients seeking excellence. We will not sugar-coat what we say to our clients. We will compassionately give them the truth even when they do not want to hear it.
How this should affect our behavior:
We challenge passionately. We temper challenge with compassion.
We fight for excellence. We strive for excellence passionately.
Wisdom
COLLABORATION
Ecclesiastes 9-12
Two are better than one because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him — a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
Daniel 2: 20b-23
Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, to whom belong wisdom and might. He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding; he reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him. To you, O God of my fathers, I give thanks and praise, for you have given me wisdom and might, and have now made known to me what we asked of you, for you have made known to us the king's matter.
How this should affect our behavior:
We all share the responsibility to deliver to our clients solutions that demonstrate quality and innovation in our work.
We reflect on how to communicate our message wisely.
We challenge with wisdom.
